Romance, with good judgement

The unsexy page that makes everything else possible. Read it once, date with confidence afterwards.

Block & report is always one tap away

Every conversation and profile carries instant block and report controls. Reports go to a human moderation team — not a queue — and suspicious accounts are removed, not warned.

01 The essentials

Ten rules worth keeping

01

Public first meetings

Always. A busy wine bar, a hotel lounge, the Central Market. Beautiful and safe are not a trade-off in Adelaide — the city is full of both.

02

Tell a friend

Share where you're going, who you're meeting and when you'll check in. A two-line text is the cheapest insurance in dating.

03

Guard personal information

No home address, workplace, or financial details until trust is earned over weeks — not messages. Keep your suburb vague at first; Adelaide is small.

04

Spot suspicious profiles

Too-perfect photos, instant declarations, refusal to video chat. Verified badges help; your scepticism helps more.

05

Scam awareness

Never send money, gift cards, "verification fees" or travel costs — to anyone, for any reason, in any direction. No exceptions, ever.

06

Hold your boundaries

State them early as preferences. Anyone who negotiates against your "no" has answered the only question that matters.

07

Safe communication

Keep early chats on-platform where block/report protects you. Move to personal numbers after the first meeting, not before.

08

Alcohol & judgement

Wine country is for established chemistry, not first meetings. One glass, slowly — you want your judgement better than your evening.

09

Your own transport

Arrive and leave independently — tram, car, rideshare — at least for the first few meetings. Independence is attractive anyway.

10

Leaving safely

"I have an early start" is a complete sentence. Leave kindly, leave when you choose, and never explain a bad feeling away because the restaurant was nice.

02 Scam awareness

The three oldest tricks in the book

The overpayment trick

"I'll send you an allowance first" followed by a fake transfer and a request to forward part of it. Real generosity never requires you to move money.

The emergency story

A sudden crisis — stranded, hospital, customs — right before your first meeting. Emergencies that only your money can solve are fiction.

The verification fee

No platform, agency or "personal assistant" legitimately charges you to verify someone else. We verify members free, on-platform.

03 Privacy, by design

What we do behind the scenes

Private photo albums you grant access to, anonymous browsing, no public feeds or comment threads, and profiles hidden from search engines by default.

Your data is handled under our privacy policy — encrypted in transit, never sold, deletable on request. Discretion is a feature here, not a hope.
