1. Who we are

Sugar Daddy Adelaide ("we", "the platform") operates sugardaddyadelaide.au, an online dating service for adults aged 20 and over, focused on Adelaide and Greater Adelaide, South Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

• Account details — name, email, age, role (sugar daddy / sugar baby) and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash).
• Profile content — photos, biography, interests, suburb-level location and preferences you choose to provide.
• Verification data — a gesture photo used solely to verify profile pictures. It is never published and is deleted after review.
• Usage data — log data, device and browser information, and interactions with the service (messages sent, filters used) required to operate and secure the platform.
• Communications — private messages are stored to deliver the service and are not used for advertising or profiling.

3. How we use it

• To operate matching, discovery and private messaging between members.
• To verify profiles and remove fraudulent, underage or prohibited accounts.
• To keep the platform safe — including moderation of reports, scam detection and enforcement of our terms.
• To send service emails (confirmations, security alerts) and, with your consent, our optional newsletter.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third-party advertising on the platform, and profiles are not indexed by search engines.

4. What other members see

Your profile is visible only to registered members. You control: whether you appear in discovery, who can view your private photo albums, and whether your online status is shown. Blocking removes visibility in both directions immediately.

5. Sharing

We share data only with the service providers required to run the platform (hosting, email delivery, payment processing for premium memberships), each bound by confidentiality obligations; where required by Australian law; or to protect members' safety. Payment details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored on our servers.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and sensitive fields encrypted at rest. Access within our team is limited to moderators who need it for safety work, and is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant Australian authorities as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

7. Your rights

• Access & correction — view and edit your data in account settings at any time.
• Deletion — delete your account to remove your profile and messages; residual logs are purged on a rolling schedule, subject to legal holds.
• Export — request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Complaints — contact us first; you may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

8. Data retention & location

Account data is kept while your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 90 days except where law or an active safety investigation requires longer. Data is hosted in Australia where practicable; any overseas processing is subject to equivalent protections.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and secure, plus optional analytics cookies you can decline. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
